Overview
Studio Halden designs libraries, schools and homes known for their calm use of light. Their old website hid that work behind slow galleries and long project descriptions. I designed and built a new site that lets the buildings speak first.

Case study
The challenge
Prospective clients and competition juries skim dozens of practices a week. Halden's best projects were buried four clicks deep, and large uncompressed images made the site painfully slow on a phone.
The approach
We built the site around full-bleed photography, a simple project index and short texts written in the studio's own voice. Every image is delivered in modern formats at the right size for each screen.
- Ran a content workshop to rewrite project texts with the partners
- Designed an editorial layout that adapts to each project's photography
- Set up a content system so the studio can publish new work on its own
The outcome
The new site launched six weeks after kickoff. Enquiries from new clients tripled the following year, and the site was shortlisted for a national design award.
